Six things we check before you're listed.

The UK AI list is a curated directory, not an open registry. Read these criteria before you submit — if your company meets all six, your submission will move straight to review.

What we look for

Every listed company meets all six. There is no partial listing and no paid placement.

A UK-registered company Your company is registered at Companies House and currently trading. We check the register directly, so the name you submit needs to match the registered name or a recorded trading name.

You'll need to provide: Company registration numberRegistered office address

Real operations on UK soil Your people, or the infrastructure you run, are based in the UK. A UK sales office fronting an overseas parent doesn't qualify. If you're a UK subsidiary of a foreign group, tell us — we'll look at what's actually delivered from here.

You'll need to provide: Principal UK place of businessApproximate UK headcountParent or group ownership, if any

AI is the substance of what you do You build AI capability — models, inference, agents, tooling — or you provide the compute, data centre or platform layer that AI runs on. Reselling someone else's API behind a thin wrapper isn't enough on its own; tell us what you add.

You'll need to provide: One paragraph on what you build and for whomAny third-party models or platforms you build on

A service customers can buy today The offering is live and available now. We don't list stealth companies, pre-launch products or waitlists — come back to us when it ships.

You'll need to provide: Public URL for the product or service pageHow a customer starts: self-serve, sales-led or tender

Twelve months of trading history The company has been trading for at least a year. This filters out shells and lets us see filed information rather than intentions. Younger companies with a named customer base can ask us to consider an exception.

You'll need to provide: Year founded or year trading beganA customer or partner reference, where you can share one

Claims you can back up Everything in your listing has to be supportable. That matters most for the words buyers rely on: sovereign, UK-hosted, ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS. If you make the claim, be ready to show where the data sits and who audited you.

Varadius Verified is a separate step. Meeting these six criteria gets you listed. The Verified badge is awarded only after a direct conversation with Varadius and a review of your UK standing, infrastructure and any compliance claims. You don't need to apply for it separately — we'll come to you if we want that conversation.

What will stop a listing

Sovereignty or data-residency claims that turn out to rest on non-UK infrastructure.
A UK entity that exists only to sell an overseas service.
Certifications listed without evidence when we ask.
Insolvency proceedings or unresolved regulatory action.
Anything materially inaccurate in the submission.

After you submit

We acknowledge every submission and aim to review within ten working days.
We may come back once for missing detail. If we hear nothing for 90 days, the submission is deleted.
Accepted companies go live with the description we agree with you. You can ask for changes or removal at any time.
We ask you to reconfirm your details once a year so the list doesn't go stale.
